This poem won 1st place in the rememberance day contest at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #341. writen by me the admin, I have also included the original format as an attachment. I was told my poem made some of the legionaires cry . Happy Reading! ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Remembrance DayOn this day We do recall Those who fell To free us all. The soldiers who For us did die So we can stand With heads held high. The living now Try not to cry As they salute The ones that lie Beneath the grass.
